This wine is a pinot gris which, depending on the region is called Grauburgunder or Malvoisie in Valais, then borrowing its name from the real Italian Malvasia (Malvasia Bianca) which was renowned for its sweet wines. On the contrary, this Pinot Gris is dry, with a smell of quince fruit paste on the nose. In the mouth, it has a lot of volume: its roundness and fruitiness are fully expressed. Selected from the Villeneuve plots, the grapes are then vinified in amphorae, which gives the wine its richness. The only wine in our range without second fermentation, it is the result of a tension between alcohol and acidity.
